This week I started reading Starless Sky by Paige Agnew--I'm only on page 53 and I love it so so so much already! It's kind of sad because the main character's best friend passed away, but it's not too sad because the book starts like a week after the friend's death, so you don't really have a connection to her. I really love the way Paige writes and it's just amazing to me that she's so good and she's my age. She's currently in the process of writing another book, which my grandparents so kindly already ordered for me! I can't wait!
The prologue to Romeo and Juliet was confusing at first, but after reading it 50 billion times, I think I've got it. I "translated" it into more modern language, but I'm having a hard time making it into a song. I'm really excited to actually read Romeo and Juliet, I mean I basically know the story, but I've never actually read it.
Oh, and today is my Grandpa's 100th birthday!!! I was at this huge open house thing yesterday for 2 hours and today we had a family party. He was in the today show last Thursday. So yeah, it was pretty cool.
See you guys in 2 days!

What To Read...What To Read...?
So I didn't really read anything this week, well I did read a couple articles in TIME. But anyways, I've got three books and I really want to read all of them right now, but I can't read more than one book at once.
The first one is Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. My good friend gave it to me. It's about falling angels. The back cover doesn't give away much, but it sounds interesting.
The second one is Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. It sounds similiar to Twilight, but I don't think it has anything to do with vampires.
The third one, and then one I think I'm leaning towards reading first is called Starless Sky by Paige Agnew. My grandparents gave it to me for Christmas. Paige Agnew is 15 years old and lives in Michigan. It's about a girl named Kahlen who has a hard time dealing with the loss of her best and only friend. A new boy comes to the school and Kahlen hopes he will be a good distraction from the pain. Eventually she realizes that he only adds to her problems because of his own interesting past. It sounds like a really cool book--and even cooler that somebody my age wrote it.
So I think I'll read Starless Sky first. Then probably Beautiful Creatures. And then Hush, Hush. Haha I decided while typing this post! :)

The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail.
Overall, I enjoyed this play. More than Man-In-The-Moon-Madrigolds, at least. I really liked Edward. He was so sweet and innocent, but I felt bad for him because he had such a phony for a father. At first I liked Waldo, I even chose him to research, but now he's one of my least favorites. I especially didn't like how he made his wife go tell everybody he wasn't ready to give a speech or whatever. Anyways, I'm glad Henry was a good sort of fatherly-figure for Edward, because Waldo sure wasn't. The play wasn't quite as confusing this time, but still not entirely clear. It's so hard for me to envision this happening as a play because it feels like it should be a movie or something!
Have a good rest of your weekend everybody!!! And happy early Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail--Act 1
I found this play--so far--to be a lot more confusing than the last one we read. I had a much harder time envisioning the set. All I drew was the jail cell. And I don't really understand how it started off with Thoreau in jail and then back to before and then to when he got arrested? I didn't think plays really had flashbacks I guess.
But I do like Henry's character. I wrote down a few of the things he said, but my favorites were on page 10: "Nobody is. If I ever met a man who was completely awake, how could I look him in the face?" and on page 14: "But to be liked, you must never disagree. And if you never disagree, it's like only breathing in and never breathing out. A man can suffocate on courtsey."
The story is pretty interesting, though, especially since it's true. I hope the confusion clears up in Act 2.

The End of Mockingjay! :(
I just finished reading Mockingjay. It was amazing! Suzanne Collins is an incredible writer! I honestly felt as if I was Katniss--even now, I'm still thinking kind of how Katniss would. The first half of the book was a little slow, but after that I couldn't put the book down! I'm really glad there was an epilogue--it answered a lot of questions. But I wanted to find out about Gale :/. I'm really sad the series is over :( I could always read them again, but I HATE re-reading books! Anyways, if you haven't read the series by now--do so!
Hope you all had a good break!! See you Tuesday!
