Romeo & Juliet: Act 1 & Starless Sky!

Wow, I actually like Romeo and Juliet more than I anticipated. At first the language was hard to understand, but I'm a little more used to it now. What really bugs me though, is when characters say something like "I know not." It just sounds bad to me! As for the actual story, I'm kind of confused on exactly why the Capulet's and the Montague's are enemies. Also, I found it odd that Romeo and Juliet barely knew each other and already they were kissing.

Now on to Starless Sky! I really really really really love this book! And I'm only a quarter through it! But it's so easy to relate to--for me anyways. Everything is all happy right now, but I made the mistake of reading the back cover and I'm sort of putting off continuing to read because I know whats going to happen and I really don't want it to happen! :/

Until next week,

  1. Back covers ruin everything when they tell you too much. (But you should still finish it) I'm guessing no one even knew (in the play) why the Capulets and the Montagues were enemies, but that's a good question. What could've caused such a strong grudge?

  2. My friends ruin things for me all the time. I strongly dislike that, and they end up wishing they hadn't ruined it for me.
I agree with Clara. What happened with the Capulets and Montagues?
